Keeping a Diary

A bestselling author advised that if we keep a diary, we should skip the long details of the day and write only about the business summary of the day. Was he right? I say only if we’ve been through the ‘school of hard knocks’.
When you’re still young and trying to know, understand, and search yourself, a detailed diary will help a lot.
Writing a detailed diary is like self-therapy – it will help you connect with your ‘higher-self’. Introspection. It would even help your memory because what you write sticks in your mind. It might even help you prioritize. Then there comes the time when introspection is over and we have to follow the ‘author’s’ advice- skip the details and be businesslike because we have to catch up with time which is our tyrant that waits for no one.
